The most harrowing stories are hidden beneath a career that is dazzling. Lolo was able to achieve her current post after a lot of struggle and perseverance. Jones' childhood was difficult because she was born to a single mother with a large family. She was constantly in motion, and had even resided in a basement church for a length of time. Jones was required to relocate to another school every during her senior year due to this sporadic lifestyle. Jones was able to move away from her mom to Theodore Roosevelt in order for her to focus on her track interest. She was a member of four families during her time in high school, in order to learn at one location. Jones was a part of both the orchestra of the school in Iowa as well as the Gatorade Track and Field Award. She also won this award in the school.
